Hello from Indiana!

Hi Folks, I am in central Indiana most of the time, and just getting interested in canoe tripping/camping. I am so glad I stumbled across this board!

Right now my only canoe firmly belongs in the recreational category (Golden Hawk), but I researching an appropriate first solo canoe. I am hoping that a solo will enable me to get out on the water more often next season.

Thanks Grandpa Paddler! I just learned about the Solo Canoe Rendezvous in Western Pennsylvania, and am hoping to go next year. So far the only true solo I have tried is a Wenonah Vagabond; it was forgiving of my beginner errors, but I definitely want to try quite a few others before purchasing.
