I've been in canoes for over 50 years. Just did the St.Croix trip 2 weeks ago in a Grumman(won't do that again). This afternoon I bought a 28 year old canoe, an old town white wilderness royal-ex hull. We won't stick on those rocks now! If you are going to thr richardson lakes chain or the moose head lake region let me know I have a camp in each area I let folks use, nothing fancy but comfortable.I'll check in once in a while. I'm a retired mailman and a writer for the northwoods sporting journal.

Richardson is so close to me. Im down northeast of Sebago. I feel an October trip on Richardson with some inside comfort ( a wood stove) enticing..

Hi Again, Welcome. That's a generous offer, Thank You.
I mentioned to MW in our first correspondence a few days ago that I was taking my 6 year old grandson fishing for the first time out of my canoe. Well, he was a little nervous without his Mom and Dad around so we cut it short, went swimming and out for ice cream later. It was a good day.

I'll bite. Can we do a group get together there? In the off season while the water is not hard. Ill leave dates to Ray as he might have other more paying clientele.. Hunting season...

I read some of the past stories in the link you posted for us, I didn't find one yet that you wrote, but the day is young. I did find a story about you and others, with your picture hunting deer. Would love to spend a day or two at your camp, talking muzzle loading (I built a NW Trade gun and have a Henry E. Leman Trade Rifle that I am sloooooowly working on). One of my bucket list goals is to shoot a ruffed grouse on the wing with the trade gun.

A group could get together, the Greenville camp is good for 4, tent space is available. Andover is good for 6 and has tent space. August and september we bear hunt out of Andover. NWSJ's web site could be better. If you get to Maine buy a copy, I've written a column for many years. If I had more money the columns would be better!
