Hey there Mike, welcome! Stay away from hard fixing anything to the boat itself. Stay away from outriggers/stabilizers unless you're planning on coastal fishing (if that's the case you'll need a different boat). Set up a milk crate and PVC pipe rod, tackle, and beverage holder (tons of how-to's on YT). Have a sculling paddle and practice using it. Use a no-snag anchor on one end of a line with a battery jumper cable clamp on the other: one line with two ways to hold position. Use the stealth fisherman's "have a great day" gesture (raised middle finger) when skeeter boats with 250hp motors roar by -- they like that.
