When a hiker needs a Canoe

I always wondered what was involved in getting that job. Not sure if they would ever be interested in having a second canoe during the peak season but I think it would be an enjoyable retirement "job" for the right person. Might be worth looking into; although living in central NYS might make for a difficult commute ;)

That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.

Thanks for sharing Sweeper. I hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2011, and it was really nice to get a ride across the river, though it didn't last long enough. Only about 100 yards in a canoe out of a 2100 mile hike. There's a great little hikers campground on a lake, and a beautiful small rustic fishing camp on the outflow stream on the side Northbound hikers are waiting. The lodge owner makes one of the best plates of pancakes I've ever had, and I love pancakes! Just in time to catch the ferry.
