Help on Rowing rig question?

I just purchased an Old Town Camper think 1986 and the seller added this with it. It was his fathers and I haven't been able to contact him for more info. Not to sure how it goes? Also attached is a foot block I'm guessing for bracing. I put it in different directions and just took pics. Any info would be appreciated. Moderators feel free to move this to it's proper section if needed, thanks David

Nice rig. I converted my 20'er into a rowing canoe but switched it back after I tried it out. I was sitting too low in the canoe which made rowing a hassle. Here's some pictures.
